I know the following about your THRIFT line. I research all Thrifts in the US except those in the southern states as several people are doing a great job there. I especially look for those who might connect to the Richmond/Fairfax, VA area Thrifts.
There were no Thrifts in the 1860 or 1870 Christian Co., IL census. I found Walther H. Thrift in the 1900 Christian Co.census
Walter H. head W M Aug 1857 42 single b. IL father b. NJ mother b. NY farmer
Letitia mother W F June 183861 Wd mother of 3 2 living born NY father b. Eng. mother b. NY
1910 Christian Co. Walter H. W. 51 b. IL
Lettie M 64 by NY (age seems a bit off)
they are not in the 1891 plat book of Christian Co. They are in hte 1904 plat book with 197 acres NE of Morrisonville. They are in the 1911 plat book NE corner of Morrisonville, Ricks Twp Sec 5 ca 227 acres
He is in the 1924 plat book 167 acres, all in Christian Co.
There is a Wallace born ca 1861 in 1910 Morgan Co., IL as a patient born in IL white age 49
He is also listed as an inmate at Jacksonville St. Hospital in 1920 white age 59 epidemic of Insane from Christian Co. I think he belongs to this family.
From the ILL Dept. of Public Health Death Records deaths over 50:
Letitia1917Sept 19Sangamon Co., IL
Wallace1946 Jan 10Morgan Co., IL
Walter 1933 Jan 31 Sangamon Co.,IL
I looked in my files for Thrifts in NJ since the father was listed as being born in NJ.
From Paterson, NJ I found Charles T. Thrift, Fannie L. Thrift, Walter H. Thrift, and William Thrift. The dates are 1890-1893.
I will keep looking and if I find anything that might be of help to you I will send it on. My Thrifts moved to Macon Co., IL in 1863 from St. Clair Co., IL. Good luck with your search. Nancy
