Based on further research, I believe Benjamin (b. appx. 1755 in Halifax, NC) and Sarah Thrower to be the parents of Kiziah Thrower. Here is the information I have found on Benjamin:
"Application of Sarah Thrower for pension as widow of Benjamin Thrower in Wilkinson Co., GA in May of 1845 and was inscribed on the roll at the rate of 29 dollars & 31 cents per annum. Benjamin Thrower was listed as private, NC, who served in the Revolutionary War. (Roll of Pensioners under act Feb. 2, 1848; Page 214 of Vol. 3) Act of Congress, July 1838. SO: Enacted in 1838.... applied for 1845.... received 1848.
Sarah further states in her application that she and Benjamin resided in Halifax Co., NC until their third child was born and removed from there to South Carolina?(Hard to read), from there to Putnam Co., GA, from there to Jasper (Co?), from there to Wilkinson Co., GA. Benjamin died there on the 26th of July, 1820."
The only documented children are Lewis (b. apx 1788), Jesse b. 1790), and Benjamin Thomas (b. 1803). Kiziah was born 1799 in SC (this would fit in with when the family moved to SC prior to moving to GA as stated above) and married Elisha Mayo in 1815 in Wilkinson CO. She also named one of her children Lewis, which I admit could be a coincidence.
In 1820 I show a Lewis, Jessey, and Sarah Thrower all living in Wilkinson CO. This would have been after the elder Benjamin died, and the younger Benjamin was still living at home. Also of importance, Sarah Thrower, was living next door to Elisha Mayo. This is the closest link I can find and I would like additional facts to substantiate my theory.
