I have circumstatial evidence that my ancestors, Louisa A. Ticer, who married Hezekiah Rorie, and her brother, Hugh Clark Ticer, who married Hezekiah's sister, Sarah Caroline Rorie, were grandchildren of the Clark Ticer you mentioned of York County, South Carolina. Both Hugh Clark Ticer and Louisa A. Ticer were born in Lauderdale County, Alabama, she in 1822 and he in 1831.They both died in the late 1800's in Stone County, Arkansas. Do you have information on which of Clark Ticer's sons is their father? One source believes that Clark's son, John Ticer, and his wife, Jane Wallis (Wallace)are the parents, but so far I've found no documentation, except that they did have a daughter named Louisa, which was a common Ticer name for our family. The Rorie family always pronounced the name "Lou-I-sa." Hezekiah and Louisa were married in Hardin County, Tennesse, in 1842; Hugh Clark Ticer and Sarah Caroline were married in Searcy County (now Stone), Arkansas, in 1852.
