Thank you for the details I have just read about Dora Tickle and her brother. Although I do not recognise her name, some of the names of her children are familiar family names, some of which are still in use today.
Is this an American site?I live in England, and my branch of the family were mostly farmers, living in and around the counties of Cheshire and Lancashire, in the North of England, any time back fromthe 19th century.
The name goes back a long way, and there are the remains of a 13th century castle up there somewhere, although it is privately owned, and not open to the public.
Our branch of the family moved to Kent around the end of the 19th century, where they are still farming.
As the surname is so unusual it is nice to think that I may have found some more relations, so I would be very interested to read any any further information which you may have.
