Hi Firstly don’t worry too much about the spelling of Tydy/Tidey/Tidy a good guide is that if its Tydy or Tideyits SussexTidy is Surrey. but that’s not 100% …but if you have ever heard a true Sussex accent you would understand how the different spellings came about.
