Orvine, not Orville, Thierney was born about 1901 and died 13 Feb 1961.He was a son of Daniel Tierney (born March 1866 in Canada) and Inez Hughes (born abt 1876 in Iowa to James F. and Sybil Hughes).
Daniel and Inez married sometime after when the 1900 census was taken (both are single in this census, with Daniel working in Starbuck, Columbia, Washington and Inez with her widowed mother Sybil still in Iowa). I would guess that they married late 1900 or in 1901.
Daniel says that his father was born in Ireland in 2 censuses and that his mother was born in Canada.Inez' father was born in New York according to him in the 1880 census (Inez keeps saying New Jersey, but she may not have known as her father died when she was young). Her mother was also born in Canada.
According to Daniel, he emigrated from his native land of Canada in 1887.If you can find him in the 1881 Cdn census, then you should find his parents, but it will obviously be under a mis-spelling of Tierney as I have already checked that out.Danile was one of the founding fathers of the town of Condon and worked as the railway agent there until his death in 1931 when son Orvine took over the position.
