My great-grandfather Patrick Tierney was born in New York City on November 3, 1860. He later moved to Rosendale, New York.The portion of the town in which he lived was called Creek Locks.The town manufactured Rosendale cement which was used in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge in 1883. He married Ann Lawlor in St. Peter's Church in Rosendale, New York on June29, 1886.A few years later the Tierneys moved to Dabury, Connecticut to find work in the hatmaking industry. Patrick Tierney died in Danbury, Connecticut on October10,1939. His wife Ann died on October 1, 1915.Please let me know if you need more information on this family.
