This is your lucky day!!! See my posting on this forum #151 regarding Book on Tijerinas. The book is full of your ancestors including the parents, siblings and children of Miguel Tijerina and Maria Cayetana Alaniz plus four generations above Miguel. I also recommend you read my posting in Mexico Genealogy Forum #4691, regarding the "Execution of Emperor Maximilian." The book I reference "Diccionario Biografico de Santiago, Nuevo Leon," was compiled by the town Historian, Juan Alanis Tamez and is loaded with genealogical data regarding Alanis/Alaniz families in that Santiago (formerly known as Valled del Guajuco) is considered the cradle of that surname. Both of these books should be available through
Borderlands Bookstore by e-mailing gfarias@borderlandsbooks.com. I won't say good luck which you have, so simply enjoy! Colonel E. A. Montemayor, USAF-Ret.
