Folks Huxford long ago disproved the descent of Henry Peeples of Fairfield from Henry Peeples and Sarah Lee. Anne Bradbury Peebles disproved the Jane Darling Peeples Morris fantasy in the early 1960s. My DNA research has provided the most plausible explanation for the mystery surrounding Henry and Lewis Peeples: they were illegitimate sons of a daughter of Lewis Peebles of Kershaw. He provided supplies for the Revolutionary forces and is mentioned in the stub indents for this service. You might do something with him. Joseph Tiller, his neighbor, did the same. I think Henry's father was probably Joseph Tiller, Jr. (c. 1763-1819), who later married Bagwell Bailey's daughter. I believe Lewis's daughter was named Sarah, and she was born about 1767 and died sometime after 1850 and is buried in an unmarked grave in the Morris-Estes Cemetery near Morrow, GA. Hope this helps.
