The obituary for James Timmons who d. 1900 says this:
"James Timmons died Sunday evening at 5 o'clock at his home on McClurg street, as a results of injuries sustained Saturday by being struck in the stomach with a piece of wood hurled from a saw at Cleveland & Palmer's handle factory, where he was employed. Deceased was born in Jefferson 44 years ago , where he has several brothers. He leaves a wife and family. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Free Methodist church with burial at the Buntin cemetery."
By putting the pieces together I found that James' parents were Benjamin & Sarah and that his brothers were George, William, Franklin and Joseph.
There are three marriage records for James Timmons in Clinton County – all reported his father as Benjamin and his mother as Sarah: m1 Carrie M. Carmack in 1884; m2 Mary Dispenett in 1893; m3 Ida Knickerbocker in 1896.
