Sharon Odam, I believe Ben Tinnin of Paluxy would be William Benjamin Tinnin, b. 3 Jan 1826 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He & his brother Christopher emigrated to the Paluxy River valley in Hood County, Texas, in 1857.
If the birth dates for your Susan or Sarah Tinnin are correct, she was only one year younger than Ben Tinnin. I have a 'Betsy' and a 'Jane' listed as sisters to Ben. Could Susan/Sarah Elizabeth Tinnin be Betsy, Ben's sister?
Ben's parents were Hugh/Huey Tinnin and Charity Allbright. This information is from the family. There are a number of Hugh Tinnins on record, but we have not been able to find a Hugh Tinnin married to a Charity Allbright, so I can't authenticate the Hugh Tinnin children's names with a legal record.
However, the names you have given match up with several Paluxy names.
Ben's third wife was Jane Culpernia MABERY and at least one of her children by a previous marriage married one of Christopher's sons. I don't find a William listed as one of her children, however.
Also, the CRITES family came to the Paluxy area (aka Rock Church) in the same wagon train with the TINNINS & BAKERS (Wm Bryant family).
