My name's Márcio Tokarski Pereira, and I'm from Brazil. My english is not very good, but I'll try to communicate with you.
The 1st Tokarski to come to Brazil was Antônio, who was born in 1847. His parents were Alberto, from Gorlitz, and Helena Magda, from Lipnski. Of course these names are translations, but I'm not sure about the original ones. Antônio came to Brazil in 1865, before the "goraczka brasyliska". The history tells that Antônio married with Edvirges Ágata Cojo, who was born in 1854. They married in the ship. The couple went to live in the State of Paraná, in the location of Rio Comprido, town of Campo Largo. There they had 10 children.
Since 1990, our family in Brazil became to do the FENATO, something like "Tokarski's National Party". There were 5 Fenatos since then, and the last one was last weekend. It is very nice, the Tokarski's in Brazil like very much to dance, to eat, and specially to drink. This time, there was a female called Leila Tokarski, who is not a descendent of Antônio and Edvirges. Her grandfather came to Brazil by the 2nd World War. Believe you or not, we do have a brazilian Tokarski in the Guiness Book. He's name is Osvaldo Tokarski, and you'll find his page at http://www.newage.com.br/~bardasplacashttp://www.newage.com.br/~bardasplacas. I think you should take a look at his page. There's also a page made by two Tokarski's that live in the same city as Osvaldo, Fernando Tokarski and his son João Tokarski Neto. The URL is http://www.newage.com.br/tokarskihttp://www.newage.com.br/tokarski. In their page, there's also a coat of arms, at http://www.newage.com.br/tokarski/brasao.htmhttp://www.newage.com.br/tokarski/brasao.htm, said to be the coat of our family. Take a look too.
I am interested in any information regarding the Tokarski's too, and I'll come back here to see your comments.
