In your research on Joseph Toler/Towler and his family, have you come across any mention of a James Dixon (B: May 22, 1779 Bedford Co., VA; D:Bef. 1837 Greenup Co., KY?)?James was the son of William and Frances (Toler/Towler) Dixon. As I'm sure you're aware, his mother was the sister of Joseph Toler/Towler.If I'm not mistaken, James' aunt, Frances, was also the wife of Joseph Toler/Towler.Joseph & Frances (Dixon) Toler's family is mentioned amongst the heirs listed in the 1837 Rebecca Howell et als. vs. John Dixon et als. lawsuit filed in Bedford Co., VA, over fifty acres of land willed by John Arthur to his daughter Mary (Arthur) Dixon.I was just wondering if there was any mention of James Dixon in the various legal filings by this Toler/Towler family. He, along with his brother Littlebury, appears to be living near them in the 1820 Pittsylvania Co., VA, census and many of these individuals show up in Winston Dalton's Register.Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, and I am certainly intrigued by what you have uncovered about these families in your research.
