John and Tabitha Howell Toliver's daughter, Nancy B. Toliver, married Russell Brewer and they were in Smith County, TN (that part which became Warren County) before 1806, when Warren County was established, and several Toliver men were with them. Tabitha Howell was born about 1765 and was the dau. of James Howell Sr. born about 1730, probably Kent County, Delaware, and died about 1819 in Grayson County, Virginia. Her brother George Howell was my ancestor.
Tabitha's nephew, John Howell (son of George Howell and Polly Osborne of Grayson County, VA), settled in White County, TN from Grayson County, Virginia between March 12, 1811 when John married Nancy Brewer and August 1812 when John Howell, Calvin Howell, and Richard Cole bought land on Cherry Creek in White County, TN (adjacent Warren County) from Thomas McBride. Another of Tabitha Howell Toliver's nieces, Drucilla Howell, married Thomas Hash and they settled at Rock Island, Warren County, TN by 1820.
I am descended from John and Nancy Brewer Howell of White County, TN.
Russell and Nancy B. (Toliver) Brewer are buried on the edge of Warren and Coffee Counties in Trousdale Cemetery, which I believe is close to Jacksboro Community.
