Konstany/Constantine was born in Austria/Poland between 1881 and 1882.He was married to Mary in 1905, presumably in Newark, Essex County, NJ.Mary was born in Austria/Poland between 1883 and 1884.They had seven children, all born in NJ:John born 1906, Anthony born in 1908, Josephine born in 1910-11, Stella born in 1914, Chester born in 1919, Joseph born in 1921 and Stanley born in 1922.
The immigration dates vary for both Constantine and Mary on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records.For Constantine they were 1908, 1902 and 1900 respectively.For Mary they were 1908, 1903 and 1902 respectively.
Constantine’s occupations also varied from census to census. In 1910 he was a laborer in a steel works, in 1920 he was a streets work foreman and in 1930 he was a gravedigger.He was still not a naturalized U.S. citizen by 1930.
There was a family by the name ofMike/Michal Tomczyk (also misspelled as Dambeck) living in the same building with Constantine’s family in 1930. According to the 1930 census record, Mike immigrated to the U.S. in 1915.
There are Ellis Island passage records for a Konstanty Tomczyk and a Michal Tomczyk.

Barbarossa.His destination was Newark, NJ where he was going to join his brother Marion Tomczyk at #537 ?????(Franklin?).He was 18 years old and single at the time.His port of departure was Bremen, Germany and his eithnicity was listed as Galicy.His last place of residence was listed as “Dombzoneice”.My guess is that this could be the village of Da~browica, in the Gmina of Baranow Sandomierski, in the Powiat of Tarnobrzeski, in the Province of Podkarpackie.

Michal Tomczyk immigrated to the U.S. on May 1, 1912 on board the S.S. Konign Luise.His destination was Newark, NJ where he was going to join his uncle Marion Tomczyk at #710 Passaic Street.He was 19 years old and single at the time.His port of departure was Bremen, Germany and his ethnicity was listed as Austria/Polish.His last place of residence was listed as Rozalin, Galicia.My guess is that this could be the village of Rozalin, in the Gmina of Nowa Deba, in the Powiat of Tarnobrzeski, in the Province of Podkarpackie.
