I do not know if you are of the same origin but in Finland our first ancestor was Nicolaus Ulopolitanus, a vicar, born 1605 in Oulu in Northern Finland. His sons Anders, Israel and Johannes, moved to Tornio district in the area between Sweden and Finland and maybe that was the reason for the name Tornberg. Both Anders and Johannes were vicars, and many of their sons as well.
Afterwards many thousands of descendants of Nicolaus were born in Finland, and I am a descendant of Nicolaus in the 11th generation.
Our ancestry has been studied quite a lot in Finland and two big books have been published where about 25.000 names belonging to Tornberg ancestry are listed.
