Yes, I have seen in various genealogies a listing of Bernon Tourtellot, but I have never seen any historical documents etc. listing his name as Bernon. I believe this Bernon is actually Barnus or Barnabas as he is listed in census records.I also have his Will in which he refers to himself as Barnas. He refers to his son-in-law, Daniel Prince, who married his daughter Thankful, apparently deceased and another deceased child, Amasa.He mentions his widow Ruth (Wheaton).This Ruth may have led some to believe that this is the younger Barney and Ruth Stevens.It appears Barnas/Barnabas Sr. outlived all of his children.There is one other possible father of the younger Barney in these Connecticut Tourtellots; that is Joshua. Joshua and Barnabas are the only families with an unaccounted for male child that matches the younger Barney's age.Thanks again for the info.
