John Wiston Towers, Loxley, Bradfield. Killed in the Great War 1916
Stannington Roll Of Honour 1914-20
I have been researching the men from my area in Sheffield England who fell in the Great War 1914-20. The result of this research can be found on my website. http://www.stannington.webitsmart.co.uk/http://www.stannington.webitsmart.co.uk/
There is information about the John Wiston Towers. He is remembered on the Bradfield war memorial and he is also listed on a tablet in a Loxley chapel. He lived at the Old Wheel, Loxley. He was killed in action, aged approx. 22 on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. He was born in the district of Gainsborough. Id love to know the identity of his parents, brothers sisters etc. Can anybody help?
Many Thanks
Robert.
