I read Mr Saunders posting and then went back into the records for his postings, which are impressive and most interesting. I agree thata search for when James Trayl arrived, would be very useful.I must add that I have seen nothing to confirm where David was born, or John Trayl for that matter. I note there is a shipping record for the arrival of Robert Trail and companions. the same type of record would be good to have for the other 17th century pioneers, between 1660 and 1699. there are many instances of captains out of Scotland coming from Edinburgh and Aberdeen filling their ships with transportees for the trip to Virginia. I have seen no lists
