This past December, I went to Daingerfield (I have relatives there) and I located the Justiss cemetery; this cemetery gave me a lot of info as many of my ancestors are buried on the outside of the cemetery. I also saw that on the inside of the fence, there are many stones that mark black graves. I then explored the Traylor cemetery and I saw that there were some markers with no names and I took them to be some of Dunstun's slaves. I took pictures of these unnamed markers. Dunston owned a slave by the name of Reuben (my great-great grandfather). I don't know if he would be one of those unmarked graves in the Justiss cemetery or Traylor cemetery. But, I want to know more about Reuben's life such as his date of birth and date of death, who his parents & siblings were and whether or not he was born on Dunston's place back in Georgia or if he was bought at a slave auction in Georgia. There are two books written by Traylor Russell but, they offer no insight into the slaves lives. Any help would be appreciated.
