I would enjoy swapping information with you on the Treadaway ancestry. My information tells me that the graves of Arthur and Lucretia (or Lucritia), and the graves of Charles Leo, Sr., and Elizabeth Bailey Treadaway, located in the Huie Cemetary, had no markers until a few years ago.I remember when the markers were placed, though I've never seen them.I have an article clipped from a newspaper telling of the markers. It shows the names Lucritia Taylor Treadaway and Elizabeth Bailey Treadaway(except that the name on the marker I believe is spelled Treadway (without the 'a')).My father Julian Treadaway contributed.
I have a copy of the marriage license of Charles Leo and Elizabeth Bailey.I also have some information printed off the internet that lists the children of Arthur Treadaway and Lucretia (Taylor?) Dunn.It shows her parents to be Hezekiah Dunn and Sarah Watts.I don't know much about her beyond that. The children were all born in Anson Co., NC between Dec., 21 1821 when Charles Leo Treadaway Sr. was born (he was my great great grandfather) thru 1844, when the youngest, Emeline, was born.It shows that he married Elizabeth Bailey Cherokee Co, Georgia, Oct 30, 1842.I have no proof of any information printed from the internet.
I'm interested in any information on my Treadaway ancestors,I'm particularly interested in information on Arthur's father Daniel and on the line before him.I've never been able to tell for sure who my first ancestor in this country is.I'd love to have information on Treadaway's in England.
Perhaps you already have the information I've included above. But if I can tell you anything else, please let me know.
