Hello all.I am still wondering if anyone would be able to assist me.I am desperately reaching out and asking for help with my family history. My great-grandfather's name is Harry Treadwell he had a sister named Molly. My great-grandfather was a mulatto and was fair in complexion,. born in AlabamaHe married a woman named Florence Howell. Together they had 5 or six children.Because my great-grandfather was so fair, many people thought he was Causasian. He was killed in 1930.On his death certificate it was listed as an accidental drowning. I was told it was Bayou Bartholomew in Arlkansas. He was drowned because people thought he was a white man, dating a black woman.I would like as much information as possible.I was told that Treadwell, couldve been a name that my great-grandfather picked up.And it may not be the name of his owner. Please Help!! Any information would be greatly appreciated.
