Sharon,
What is the date of birth for Roy Trease???I know my Mary Ann Trease moved back and forth between Ohio and Indiana several times following the Gray family. Also, according to Civil War Pension records she was also in Seattle Washington in 1916 before dying in Ohio in 1928.
In my search I found 2 large Trease (Treace) families in Ohio in the 1840's thru the 1860's.I do not know where they went from there.According the Ohio census I believe My Mary Ann Trease's parents were George W. Trease born October 26, 1820 and Rosanna McAfee Born Aug. 31, 1822.
In the census George W. Trease did not have a son named Roy.
George W. Trease's father was Jacob Treace born in abt. 1793.I do not know when the "c" became a "s".and Jacob Treace's father was a Jacob Treace born abt. 1775.I believe George W. Trease had a brother or cousin named Henry Treace. He had a large family as well. There was also a George A. Treace who also had a large family about this time.
Do you know Roy Trease's father's name?
My George W. Trease had the following children:
Mary Ann Trease Born: Feb. 18, 1844
Sarah J Trease Born abt 1845
John Trease born abt 1848.
I do have copies of the 1850 census with Henry's list of children. The male children were:
Samuel 18Yrs, Thomas 16Yrs, George 10Yrs. and the twins, James H.P. 4yrs and twin Andrew J. 4years.
I hope this helps.
Let me know.
