My ggrandfather was Henry Treglown, who said in 1901 that his birthdate was 1824.He was married to Mary CRASE Treglown."After they achieved their maturity" they came to Linden, Wisconsin. So let's say, about 1842 or a bit more?
There is a Henry that was CHRISTENED in 1828 in Crowan.Apparently people christened their kids when they got around to it, so a 3 or 4 year lag wouldn't be that weird. The reason I latched onto THIS Henry was that a lady from Oregon thought we were related because our ancestors seemed to end up at the same place at the same time.Pretty circumstantial, but these are TREGLOWNs, not Smiths....So, if this is "my Henry" that would mean that his parents were Thomas and Mary DAVEY Treglown, married in Redruth in 1821.They had the following sons-William John, christened in 1825 in Redruth, Thomas. 1826, Crowan, Henry, Thomas John christened in 1828 in Redruth. He married Elizabeth Nicholas in 1848 in Redruth. They had the following sons-William Thomas (1856), John Treglown (1857), another John (1858), and several daughters including Bessie who went to Amador County California.I suspect one of the brothers must have gone to California too-would she have take off on her own?
So can anybody match up to Henry or his possible dad, Thomas, of Redruth/Crowan?
