William Willis Trimmer was born 14 December 1804 to John and Sarah. He was a china and glass dealer in Maidstone, Kent (UK). He married Frances, and they had four children, Eleanor Williams(born 1832), Frances Sarah (born 1833), William Henry (born 1835), and Catherine (born 1837). Frances Sarah married Charles Wyatt (my great grandfather, he kept a pub called The Wiltshire Arms in the City of London, which no longer exists). William Henry emigrated to USA, and joined the Confederate army during the American Civil War. He saw action in Florida, where he was captured and transported to New York. He wrote a short account of some weeks of his military service (I could send a transcript if anyone is interested). Later he became a public notary in Molino, Escambia County, Florida. I have a photograph of him taken in 1887, aged 52. He was still in Molino in 1915 aged 80, as he told his niece Agnes in a letter that year. If anyone has any more information on these people, I would like to hear from them.
