Please feel free to contact me about pics.I am curious if you may have run across any info on my ancestor Alford Duncan, who was constantly called and it is always written Alfred Duncan, but his name was Alford Duncan, "Dank" Trogdon.I haven't gone to your tree yet, but I would love to talk to you.I'm wondering if you are speaking of Alfred Daniel, born circa 1812, married Martha York.He had a child Andrew Madison.A.D.'s parents were Samuel and Susannah Ferree.Samuel was Jr., father Samuel (no M proven as middle name) and was the son of William the Patriot who died in 1805.I have pics of Williams, Samuel, Sam Jr., Susannah's headstones.I descend from the same Samuel Sr., and his son Ure, who had a son Alford Duncan, my gggg-grandfather.
I'm confused because Samuel Erman is a different line. His father (I thought) was Methodist Minister, Joel B. Trogdon, who was the son of Tyson and Tabitha Coe Trogdon. Tyson child of Samuel and Jane Hendricks, (this is also my line through my grandmother Hendricks who married my Trogdon grandfather). This Samuel was from William Trogdon and ? Odell (1st wife).William son of Samuel Sr., (as above) who again, was son of William the Patriot who died in 1805.I probably have just made your head explode!
Basically, having said all of that, I am hoping that you may have run across Alford Duncan or Alfred Duncanwho he was called (married Peninna Peacock) as I have come across very little info, but what I have found, I have had to be very careful because these two A.D.'s are often confused with each other. Mine born 1827, Alfred Daniel son of Joel B. was born 1812. Jeanmy email email@example.com
