I am writing you to let you know I found my Trout Family connection . My Burlington Trout family is most definitely of German decent. William, Jacob, and Christopher were the sons of a Christopher and Catherine "Trouts" of Burlington County. I have recently located a 200 year old family tree made by a child of William in the possession of a decendant of Williams daughter Lucretia. The subject lives inWest Chester Penna.. This tree lists Christopher and Catherine as parents of William, and gives their 11 children including my John Trout b. 12/24/1799. The children of Christopher dropped the "S" off the name and used just "Trout", but I have a copy of Christophers Intestate and Inventory, where he is listed as Christopher Trouts. On the Passenger and Immigration Lists, it lists Christopher TRouts coming to Philadelphia on 24 Sept. 1753 aboard the ship "PEGGY" from Rotterdam , he starts his family in Burlington County in 1756, dies there in 1777.
