Abraham Trowell was my great great grandmothers father. Her name was Julia Anna Trowell.

Abraham had 8 children:

Julia Anna, Joe, Classie, Amy, Elsie, Adelaide Hesicaya, and Amos

The stories handed down through the generations is that Abraham was from Alaska. He and his brother Jack Trowell traveled to Georgia where they got work on a planation in Baker County.Neither were slaves, but they worked for a slave master.Jack took on the slave masters name of Jackson.Abraham refused and kept the Trowell.

I have traced a few of the Trowells but not many.If your mothers father (Amos) actually Abrahams son, then we could really be on to discovering some facinating information about our family.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Lisa
