It is my understanding that two Tubb cemeteries exists in the Smith Fork Creek area and they are the James Tubb, Sr. Cemetery and the James Tubb, Jr. Cemetery. However, recent research has revealed three Tubb cemeteries in that general area.
1. One Tubb cemetery is located south of SR 264 (also south of Walker Creek) and about 1.8 miles NW of Temperance Hall.
2. Another Tubb cemetery is located near the intersection of Smith Fork Road and Hannah Branch Road which is about 4 miles south of Temperance Hall.
3. The other Tubb cemetery is located just SW of Temperance Hall and about 300 yards from SR 264.
I think that #1 cemetery is the James Tubb, Sr. Cemetery and #2 cemetery is the James Tubb, Jr. Cemetery. However, I don't know about the #3 cemetery. The #3 cemetery appears to be near the old James Tubb, Jr. homeplace. Also on some topographical maps there are three other cemeteries (unnamed on the maps) shown near the junction of Smith Fork and Reynolds Branch creeks. I suspect they are very small family cemeteries or possibly colored cemeteries.
If anyone has knowledge of these cemeteries, I would certainly appreciate an explanation of which is which and any history about them.
