Though your original post is from 2004, I thought that I would give this a shot in case you are still using this site...

I am decendant of John Tubb and Rebecca Capshaw.John was born in 1700 in Cornwall, England.He married Rebecca and moved to America (North Carolina).He returned to England in 1735 (leaving his family in America), and the trail goes cold from there....

Any information you may have regarding John Tubb's ancestors would be appreciated...
