Charles H. Heath was married to Amanda Cynthia Tubbs. We don't have the marriage cert as yet. We know that Amanda's father and mother were Russell Tubbs and Mary Kimbal from some documentation that we have.In 1910 the census finds Charles and Amanda on the Heath property - Mercur Hill, Wysox, Bradford County, Pa. - outside Towanda above East Towanda. The census lists him at 58 in 1910, Amanda 43, Albert 17, Bertha 13, Charles Francis (my grandfather) 11 and Mary Lavina Heath 8. I knew Aunt Bertha (great cook - made the best poor man's cake I ever had) and Aunt Mimi (Mary). Both were married but Bertha never had kids. They in fact lived together with Mary's family after Bertha's husband died in Reading, Pa. Albert was a state trooper and lived out in Piston (sp) Pa. Except for Albert (I'm not sure about)they are mostly buried at Bradford Memorial Park in Luthers Mill. Aunt Mimi was deaf. I am partically deaf also. Family thing?? I remember Grandma Amanda. I was very young but she lived in an apartment above the movie theater and my mother would take me and go visit her sometimes. She was a good cook also - always had cookies for me. She was old then but I think she still wanted to be on her own and had given the homestead to her son Charles to live in.As for how I found out... thank goodness someone in Sarah's (Amanda's sister) family did a lot of work. If you go to Sarah Henley married to Edmund Edwin Henley you can get the documention for the rest of the Tubbs. They did a good job. Thanks for answering.
