I descend from Charles Tubbs, b. 1802, and Emily Morgan, of W. Springfield, MA.A recent Y-DNA test of a male Tubbs cousin has matched with a male Tubbs descendant of James H. Tubbs, born in Tennessee about 1826. He was married to Martha Ann Mariah Sikes. Although our Y-DNA match proves we have a "recent" common ancestor, our paper trail doesn't go back far enough to locate the common ancestor.
We seek other male Tubbs family members with a good paper trail to colonial New England (we think), who would be willing to have a Y-DNA test.A 37 marker test is a bargain at $149, and can confirm your Tubbs family line, and perhaps break down a brick wall. Will share cost with someone who has a reliable paper trail back to the 18th century. Y-DNA donors must be males with the Tubbs surname. If interested, please contact me.
