I believe that Elisha, James, Solomon, and Anna Tedder from Johnston County,NC, or that part of Wake County formed from Johnston County, are the children of Benjamin Tudor, Jr., and grandchildren of John Tedder, by a process of elimination. We know Benajmin's children from Tudor research, males were: Benjamin Tudor, Jr, William Tedder, John Tudor, later Tedder, James Tudor/Tedder, and by my research and DNA, Harmon Tudor/Tedder. We know all but one of William's children from an internet posting by a Nancy Tedder, William's daughter, descendant. The other child was on the 1820 NC census records and was a female. We know John's two sons; he also had nine daughters. We know Harmon's children. James after the 1788 Granville Tax list disappears, probably passed on. The Benjamin Tedder identified in an NC 1755 tax list followed his brothers or cousins, George and Jacob, to Dobbs and then changed his last name back to his father's last name, Tidderton, and his children are Tiddertons. Jacob, another son of Samuel or a cousin to Jacob and Benjamin, went by the last name of Tudor. I can find no other Tedder other than Benjamin JR who could be the father of Elisha, James, Solomon, and Anna. Need DNA info: please, descendants of these individuals, take the DNA test.
