JAMES TUITE, only son of Nicholas Tuite, was born in Java, NY, July 28th, 1832, and has always lived in the town. He was a carpenter and joiner until about 1861, whe the hold homestead his father came into his possession, since which he has been successfully engaged in farning and dairying, having enlarged the original farm of sixty acres to two hundred and twenty acres. He was married Jan. 27th, 1858, to MARGARET MURREY, of Java. His father emigrated from county Louth, Ireland, in 1831, and located in Java in 1832, where he died in 1861, aged sixty-one years.
