Magnus Tulloch was born in Kirkwell, Scotland, the capital of Orkey Island, off the northeastern coast of Scotland on February 8, 1763.He arrived in Savannah, Georgia on the Ship Marlborough, under command of Captain Thomas Walker in September 1775.He died June 27, 1845 in Maryville, TN Buried (reinterred) October 12, 1845 in Revolutinary War Soldiers in Baker's Creek Church in Baker's Creek Cemetery, Old Niles Ferry, Blount County TN
