The following is a detailed update of recent research of my own particular Tunney family branch. Please look it over.I have found the names of my great grandmother's siblings, what they did for a living, who they married, and where at least some of them are buried.Hopefully this will set off bells with other Tunney researchers with relatives from the Buffalo, NY area -- please let me know if it does.I am happy to share any and all info in my files with fellow researchers.Best wishes, Cheri Wilkinson (Great Grand Daughter of Rose Ann Frances Tunney Fitzgerald)

John Tunney lived most, if not all, of his adult life in Buffalo, Erie County, New York.He worked as a driver and laborer. His sons, Thomas and John Jr. worked as stevedores.Youngest son, Eugene, worked first as a bartender but later sold soft drinks.
Daughter Harriet (who apparently was known as "Hattie") is listed once (1884) in the Buffalo City Directory as a domestic. She is listed as living in the Tunney family home in 1888 Directory. After that there are no further listings in the Directory of Harriet under the name surname Tunney. Perhaps she was married in 1888 or 1889.
According to Rose Tunney Fitzgerald's obituary in 1954, all of her siblings had predeceased her.
