Minnie Mary born 19 April 1912, the daughter of George Martin Turland and Liza Jane (WOODS). George Martin was born in December 1876 in Texas the son of William and Harriet (BLOXSOM). He married in around 1910. William was born in November 1842 and baptized at Long Lawford on 19 January 1843. He and the newly married Harriet emigrated to the United States in 1872 where all their children were born. I have no record of their deaths. William's parents were Henry and Mary (HARRISON)and lived at Newbold on Avon. Henry and Mary married at St Edith's Church in Monks Kirby on 12 October 1826. Henry died 9 December and was buried on 14 December 1879 at Newbold on Avon; Mary died 24 April and was buried 27 April 1873 at Newbold on Avon. They lived at Long Lawford and later Newbold on Avon. Henry was baptized at Long Lawford on 16 September 1798 the son of William and Ann (SUMMERFIELD) who were married at St Botolph's Church Newbold on Avon on 7 November 1796. Ann was William's first wife. I do not have a record of her burial but William married secondly Elizabeth ELI on 21 February 1814 at Newbold. William died at Long Lawford 23 February and was buried 1 March 1855 at Newbold on Avon. His second wife died in 1848 at Newbold on Avon. He worked in the Lime burning industry. William was baptized 10 November 1775 at Newbold on Avon the son of William and Elizabeth (FIELD)who I think married in Newbold on Avon in about 1772. He was buried there 18 November 1829 (aged 82) and Elizabeth on 19 March 1822(aged 67). He married after Elizabeth's death at Newbold on Avon Mary ROBINS on 29 August 1825. I have no record of her decease. William was born, according to his age at burial in about 1747. He could be achild of George and Ann (MEALIN) whose son Stephen was baptized at Byfield on 1 October 1738. Stephen married at Monks Kirby in 1762 and it could be his younger brother joined him there at sometime or other. My files show William was born at Charwelton but I am not sure where I got this from! Ann MEALIN and George were married at Charwelton 31 October 1737 which is a neignboiring village to Byfield. George baptized at Byfield 19 July 1713 son of Steven and Mary (YARDLEY) who married at Charwelton 28 April 1712. Steven, a possible son of Richard and Mary (WAITE) who married at Byfield 5 February 1677. That's all I have.
