I am seeking information about two of the children of David TURNBULL, baker, and Abigail HEDLEY who married on 12 AUG 1787 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
The IGI shows the following children born in Glasgow with their birthdates: Abigail, b 27 Jun 1788; Agnes b 05 Dec 1789; William b: 05 Feb 1791; Martha b 02 Mar 1793; David b 11 Jan 1795; Abigail born 4 Mar 1797; James b 03 Jan 1799; Elisabeth b 19 Dec 1800 and William b 28 May 1803.
In 1810 David Turnbull registered a deed of settlement specifying how his estate would be distributed after his death to his wife Abigail Turnbull,née Hedley and his children Agnes,Martha, James and Elizabeth. This settlement was a disposition, meaning a deed whereby a right to property (either heritable or moveable) is alienated by one person and conveyed to another. Thus the eldest son, who would normally be the heir to all heritable property (land and buildings) was disinherited and was not mentioned.
Can anyone tell me what happened to the children please? I am especially interested in Agnes and David.
