Tutor Family Hungary 1500

Hello, I just read your entry and found it really interesting. My name is Nicole and I'm a Tutor descendant. My last Tutor ancestor was my great-grandmother Bertha Tutor. She was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta of the United States. Her ancestor William Owen Tutor arrived in the Americas in the late 1700s. William Owen Tutor arrived in the Americas at age 16, where he became an indentured servant on a plantation along the James River, between Williamsburg, Virginia and Harrison Landing. After sixteen months, he left his servitude and in the latter of 1791 he arrived at Rollins Mill in southwest Wake County. He lived with the Rollins family for seven years, and this is where he was taught English. Many of his descendants remain in the Missippippi area.
Tutor was an alternative spelling, and it had a different Welsh spelling before he immigrated. I don't know if they are related, but I thought I'd share.

Sok utódai maradnak a Missippippi területen.
