Your Capt. William Twitty was a true American Pioneer. I enjoyed reading about his trip thru the Cumberland Gap to Kentucky. It is possible that the Samuel Walker, that Capt. Twitty sold land to, on both sides of the Broad River is my 6th. GrGrandfather. I want to check the Grantee and Grantor Books in the proper County to see Samuels purchases and sales of property. Probably Tryon County 1768-1779, and Rutheford County 1779-1790. Do I have to go to the NC Archives, or is there any other place I coud see them. I woud appreciate your help. Thanks.
