On Aug 9 1856 James Tydeman m Anna Tydeman at St Nicolas, Brighton.
They appear to be cousins, giving different father's fore-names, although I suspect they were half- or step siblings.
At the time they were both living at the same adress in Shoreditch with other family members.
On the GRO copy of the marriage certificate all signatures, including curate & witnesses appear to be in the same hand writing - could this be a postal marriage - did such things happen at some churches ?
I have records of some of their children & it is possible the male line died out.
If any one knows more of this couple I would be delighted to hear.
