Dear Mrs. Sandel,
I have a copy of your Conerly/Tynes book. It is grand. I do want to ask you two things.
Do you have any information regarding Walter E. Tynes, of Mt. Hermon, La, who married Fannie Tate, became a well known Baptist minister, left Mississippi for Texas, and had three children. I am a nephew, several generations down and interested in him. I am particularly interested in his daughter Nannie Lou Bailey, who used to correspond with my grandmother(who was Walter's niece and Nannie's cousin). Nannie lived in Waco and died in the late 60s or early 70s. Do you know anyone in the Tynes family who knows of Walter, Nannie Lou, or any direct descendants. As well, Walter wrote a memoir entitled My pilgrimage. Is it available or in print?
Also, on another line, I was fascinated with your book's information on Luke W. Conerly, the Pike County Mississippi historian, in your wonderful book. Have you any other information on Luke Conerly or know any descendants of this man.
I am also going to send you a check for the Felder book. Do you have any other books you've written? Thanks, and I'm an admirer of the Conerly book. Keep up your good work.
Sure we are kin,
Lucius Lampton, MD
