The John TYSOE in my previous entry is in fact the son of CHARLES TYSOE Cotton Spinner and Alderman of Salford Council. JOHN also became an Alderman of Salford Council, (for 22 years), but unfortunately had to resign when he became bankrupt in 1875 as his company (Charles Tysoe and Sons, Cotton Spinners, Hope Street Mills, Salford) failed, primarily due to the "unsatisfactory conditions of the fine yarn trade". (Salford Chronicle 11 Sept 1875 page 3) .
According to Ancestry .co John was born about 1822 in Salford. His wife Charlotte was born in Gloucestershire about 1822. The 1881 cesus shows John as an Insurance Agent, living at Stamford Road, Bowdon, Cheshire. Their son John Henry (born 1849) was also in the family business.
