Looking for information on Mose J Ullman and Sussie Jacoby, and more specifically Sussie's children (Florence and Magnes Manheim) from a previous marriage/relationship.
Below is what I know, anything on any of these people would be a great help.
Sussanah (Susan, Sussie) Jacoby/Jacobi born abt 1867 in South Carolina to Sigmund and Bertha Jacoby.
Bertha (1836-1902) and Sigmund (1825-1884)were born in Germany/Prussia (depending on the source) and are burried in Charleston, SC.
Bertha had been previously married to Mitchel Robinson (1831-1858) and had numerous children by him. She and Sigmund then had two children Nathan (1862-?) and Sussanah (1867-?).
Bertha and Nathan ran a store on King St in Charleston that is listed in various directories as a clothier and/or tailor.
In the 1900 Census Bertha reides (in Charleston) with her son Nathan, some of the Robinson children, and Florence (1883-?) and Magnes (1886-1942) Manheim/Mankeine who are listed as Nathan's neices, so I am assuming Susannah is their mother.
The Charleston newspapers list a marriage between Sussie Jacoby and a Mose J Ullman from Evansville, IN in 1888 in Jacksonville, FLA. Other data in the notice proves that this Sussie Jacoby is indeed the daughter of Bertha Jacoby in Charleston.
I cannot find Mose and Sussie in any census record however, nor any other connection to the Manheim children Sussie seems to have given birth to before her marriage to Mose J. Ullman.
Magnes Manheim was my great grandmother.
I know this is a lot of random information, but any help would be of great service. Thanks Jennifer
