I am also interested in any information you might find concerning John Ulm and Eva Eck.
They are my husband's great-great grandparents.I have no information on them other than that they are the parents of Eva Ulm who married Nathan Keen (see below).I also would love to learn more about them.
Nathan and Eva Ulm Keen also had a daughter named Eva.
Eva Mae Keen married Walter Simeon Blankenbaker, and they are my husband's grandparents:
5. NATHAN J.4 KEEN (HUFFMAN3, JAMES2, THOMAS1) was born September 06, 1857 in Tippecanoe Co, IN, and died March 09, 1938 in McCoysburg, Jasper Co, IN.He married EVA ULM December 21, 1880 in Jasper Co, IN, daughter of JOHN ULM and EVA ECK.She was born July 29, 1862 in Akron, OH, and died May 13, 1924 in Gifford, Jasper Co, IN.
6.EVA MAE5 KEEN (NATHAN J.4, HUFFMAN3, JAMES2, THOMAS1) was born December 25, 1881 in Jasper Co, IN, and died February 25, 1965 in South Bend, IN.She married WALTER SIMEON BLANKENBAKER 1901 in Mt. Ayr, IN, son of JAMES BLANKENBAKER and ELIZABETH CRISLER.He was born February 12, 1875 in Newton Co, IN, and died December 29, 1957 in South Bend, IN.
I have in a scrapbook that once belonged to Edna Blankenbaker (the only dau of Walter and Eva Keen Blankenbaker), an obituary for a Margaret Ulm.I do not know how Margaret Ulm fits in, but I am assuming it might be another sibling of Eva Ulm.Margaret Ulm married Thomas A. Porter in 1901.She died August 7, but since there is nothing that indicates the date of the obituary, I don't know the year. There is a picture of Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Porter, Remington, Indiana, dated Dec 25, 1961 also taped to the obituary.
If you believe we are searching for the same family, please let me know if you uncover anything or if you'd like any of the information I may have.
