My name is Sam Ungaro,My Italian name is
Saverio Joseph Ungaro, named after my grandfather Saverio Francisco Ungaro who was
born in the village Campomaggiore, Potenza,
Basilicata,Italy in 1856.My father Salvatore
Ungaro was born here in 1890 and came to U.S
1910.
I have been to Italy twice and have Ungaro
family living in the following Campomaggiore,
Trivigno,Foggia,Castelmezzano,Calciano,
Tricarico,Pietrapertosa, and possibly Brindsi, Bari, Naples, Torino.
Also my living Ungaro cousins families in northern Italy ,Rome,Venezia,Livorno Ferraris,Milano. Our ancient forefather Vincenzo Ungaro family goes back to 1750 in
the old village Campomaggiore. All of my
family originated from,Campomaggiore,Potenza,
Basilicata, area
I have been researching Ungaro family for about seven years, and find that most come from southern Italy.
Keep in touch with all Ungaro,s.
