Paraphrased from Shank research : Conrad “Updegrove” earliest ancestor who has been identified to a large number of descendants in now Western Schuylkill, upper Dauphin, and southern Northcumberland. First Conrad record Oct. 9, 1803 when he and wife Elizabeth Angst were confirmed at Jacob’s Church (Lutheran) near Pine Grive,Schuylkill co. His age was given as 25 3¾. Probably son of Peter “OBTIGRAV” whose name is in thefirst US census , Pinegrove Twp, Berks Co. – now Schuykill Co.
I think that Shank listed "probably son of Peter.." this in his notes but having found no evidence made the note for future researchers.
The DNA supports the original baptism record of Edward which does not list Conrad as his twin. Also Shank seems certain on Conrad's the birth of via his confirmation info to be abt 1778 vs Edward's birth in 1771.
