Notes
Henry’s name may have been James Henry Campbell and his father the same.
There is a birth certificate dated 1833 in Campbelltown, NSW for a James Campbell son of Henry and Mary Campbell. The registrar may have had the names back to front, or as previously stated the used names were changed due to both having the same name.
On Henry and Jane's marriage certificate, Henry's occupation is given as a Shoemaker.
Jane was under the age of consent and had her father's permission to marry.
It. is not known what brought Henry and Jane's family to the ParadiseCreek/Tingha area, but most likely to have been mining or agricultural work.
The 1861 Robinson Free Selectors Act made it possible for people to gain small holdings for selection. By 1875 Henry is listed as a grazier and having land at Kangaroo Flat.
He later took up land at Tubbamurra.
They had 16 children Elizabeth 1862, Mary Jane 1864, Janet 1865, James 1866, Robert Wallace Ure 1867, Henry 1869, Alexander 1870, John 1872, Thomas 1874, David 1875, Archibald 1877, William 1878, Anne 1880, Jane 1882, George 1884, Sarah 1888
