I am not sure of all of her married names. The only ones I am sure of are Aldridge (her last married name), Johnson, and Havener (her name when married to my ggrandfather). She was in Monroe Co. AR, in 1909.That is the year that my grandfather was born. Her obit says her name was Alice, but I found in the 1910 Census for Monroe Co, Ar. in Cypress Ridge Township a Mrs. Sarah Havener as head of household four children listed.I beleive this to be one and the same as Alice because the last child listed is my grandfather. He being the last child she had. This I am sure of.On the census it list her as being age 40, had 7 children, 5 living. She was born in Ala., her father was born in NC., and her mother was born in Ala.It also shows her to be a farm laborer. It list children -- Myatte, daughter, age 16, born TN, parents born Ala.
Nilmer?, daughter, age 13, born TN, parents born Ala.
Boyd, son, age 4, born TN, parents born Ala.
Joseph, son, age 9/12, born Ar., parents born Ala.
I know there was a daughter older than Myatte, named Lera.I met her once when she was very old.She went to Ar to visit my grandfather who was her half brother. The last two children listed are my grandfather Joseph, and his brother Boyd. They, as I said were her last children.I know she was in Monroe Co. for a long time as she raised my grandfather there and she is buried just outside of Clarendon, which is in Monroe Co.
She was born May 7, 1869 in Ala. and died Feb. 12, 1957.When she died she was living in Scott Co, AR.She died in Little Rock. Her obit says her survivors include a daughter, Mrs Lena Snoddy, of Stayton, Ore, ( This was who we called aunt Lera, the oldest),and then it list Uncle Boyd Havener, and my grandfather, Joseph Havener. This is all the info I have on her.I hope this is something you recognize and can be of some help.Finding her parents has been a huge brick wall for me.Thanks for any help you can give. Will be looking forward to hearing form you.
