Jennifer --
This looks like it might fit into your line as described...
HEINRICH "HENRY" VANBILLIARD was born 1767, and died
June 1851. He married CATHARINA OSENBACH.
Henry emigrated from Holland and settled near
Siedersville, Northampton County, PA, according
to the book entitledHISTORY OF WARREN COUNTY, NJ
by George Wyckoff' Cummings. Henry and Catharina
had a large family -- about eight boys and five girls.
One of the boys was:
JOHN VANBILLIARD, b. April 07,1802, Lower Saucon
Township, Northampton County, PA; d. September 12,1875.
He married HANNAH ARNER (b. May 18, 1807-d.November 18,
1878) daughter of Nicholas Arner(1780-1839) and
Susanna Koenig (King) Arner (1787-1866)on October 8,
1832. (Nicholas Arner was descended from Hans Ulrich
and Verena Eberhard Arner (1735 immigrants from
Switzerland.
Children of John and Hannah Arner Van Billiard are:
Linda VanB. b. 1834,
Jerome VanB. b. April 8, 1837,
Martin VanB. b. March 27, 1839,
Jemina VanB. b. June 18, 1841,
Oliver VanB. b. January 20,1844,
Monroe VanB. b. March 14, 1847,
Herman VanB. b. February 24, 1850,
Orlando VanB. b. November 13, 1858,
William J. VanB. b. October 29, 1862,
EmmaS. VanB. b. December 26, 1863
As you see from that list, here is a William Van
Billiard whose father was named John. If this looks
like your line, I can also supply you with some
information about the ARNER family. There are many
Arner descendants and cousins in the Allentown area
today. They actively hold large reunions.
My connection to all of this is not a direct one.
I am not a Van Billiard descendant. William's
brother Herman married into my line -- the Shick /
Schick family so I'm familiar with this rather
by research and luck. RICHARD
